Đề Chùa Gia Lâm

Lòng nguội lạnh với giấc mơ sừng con sên (*)

Dạo bước đến cửa thiền

Xuân muộn, dáng hoa mỏng mảnh

Rừng sâu, tiếng ve ngân dài

Mưa tạnh, trời xanh biếc một màu

Ao trong, trăng mát dịu toả xuống

Khách ra về, sư chẳng nói

Mặt đất thơm ngáy mùi hoa thông.

       Đề Chùa Gia Lâm

     Lòng danh lợi nguội lâu rồi

Bước chân thanh thản dạo nơi cửa thiền

     Hoa xuân mỏng mảnh trước hiên

Tiếng ve rừng vắng vang miền lá xanh

     Tạnh mưa càng biếc thiên thanh

Ao trong trăng toả mát quảnh núi đồi

     Khách đi sư chẳng nói lời

Đất thơm ngát cả một trời hoa thông

Deep rorest, the cicada’s songs echo wide

Rain stops, the sky is one deep blue

Clear pond, the cool moon shines down

Guest takes leave, the monk’s silent

The land is fragrant with the pine flowers.

Written At Gia Lam Pagoda

The heart has grown cold in the snail’s dream of riches.

I take a easeful walk to the Zen temple

Late spring, the petals sit so delicately.

The cicadas’ songs drift across the deep forest.

The rain stops, the sky, one deep blue.

By the clear pond, a cool moon shines down

When the guest leave, the monk is silent,

The land fragrant with pine.
